Permission granted – be yourself!

This post is part of the ongoing series “how to love and accept yourself as you are” – you can find all the posts here and catch up any time.

Well here we are at the end of this series. Thank you for being here with me. If you missed any posts or want to re-read any there is a link above to a page I created with all the posts in one place. Pin it or bookmark it and come back when you need.

The last piece I want to explore in this crazy puzzle of self love, care and acceptance is permission.

So many people wait for others to give them the permission or approval they seek. They look for validation that their ideas, preferences and needs are okay with the world, popular or “right”. They let others determine whether they are worthy or loveable instead of letting all of this come from within.

I am here to tell you that you are the critical piece in this puzzle and it will never fully come together unless you work to do so yourself. Others can help, but without your self approval and self acceptance you can never fully finish the puzzle.

I want you to give yourself permission to be who you are and love yourself just as you are.

Whether you want to simply read my words, say them aloud or write your own, I encourage you to really give this attention. Find your voice. Be kind to yourself. Trust that who you are and how you are made is just right.

I hope you will pledge with me:

I promise to honour myself, to identify what is truly important to me and to make those things and people a priority in my life.

I promise to go inward and connect with my heart and soul desires. I will listen and trust what messages feel true to me without judging them or myself.

I give myself permission to live my life my way and know that I am the best judge of what path to take, what steps to take and what is “right.”

I am worthy of all that I want and do not need other people’s permission to give myself time, energy, money, resources, respect and support; however that works for me.

If you want to print it out and put it on your mirror or altar or in your wallet, or wherever works for you, I made a prettier version.

Love and light,

Deb xx
